It's a Rogue World: Feat. Why You Should Use a Grinder 12.2.24

The holiday season is a whirlwind! Lately, we've been thinking a lot about ways to make tasks easier and how to enjoy the time we save. In this edition we highlight: a book that will keep you company by the fire, grinders and why they are indispensable, a recipe to streamline your holiday mornings so you can sleep in, and as always, our current fashion obsession. Bonus: Rogue Paq made NY Magazine's Holiday Gift Guide. Check it all out below.

The Unforgettable Story of Demon Copperhead

Imagine being born into a world stacked against you. That’s the reality for Demon, a boy growing up in the rugged southern Appalachians, armed with little more than his sharp wit, copper hair, and a fierce determination to survive. His story is raw and unflinching as he navigates foster care, addiction, love, and loss, capturing the heartache of being unseen in a world that often overlooks rural lives.

Reading it felt like (and was written to feel like) stepping into a modern-day version of Charles Dickens’ David Copperfield, with its powerful themes of poverty and perseverance. What struck me most was how this tale echoes across generations, reminding us of the strength found in storytelling and the universal need for hope in seemingly cursed places.

Why Every Cannabis Enthusiast Needs a Grinder

Grinders are one of the easiest and most effective ways to raise your ritual. We can expound on this topic for days but we will give you a quick overview of why grinders are essential. These compact tools not only save time (vs breaking up your flower by hand) but also create a fluffy consistency which allows for even heat distribution during combustion. This means that you will achieve an even burn and, we believe, an even burn is the key to a smoother smoke with greater flavor retention.

There are many types of grinders to choose from but the main materials are metal, wood, and plastic. We prefer metal for its durability and resilience. There are also a variety of sizes - we favor the 50mm 4 piece for travel and the 60mm 4 piece for at home and with friends. Why 4 pieces? Because we always want to catch our kief which is what the fourth chamber does. Kief can be rolled into your joints/blunts/spliffs or sprinkled atop your bowl for next level elevation. Speaking of which, the uniform consistency of the flower also makes it easier to roll joints and pack bowls. And the best part? It helps preserve your stash by grinding just what you need. Tiny but mighty, we consider the weed grinder a top 3 must-have tool.

A Hassle-Free Breakfast with French Toast Casserole

Let me tell you about a breakfast hack that changed my weekends forever: French toast casserole. It’s everything you love about classic French toast—cinnamon, custard, maple syrup—but without the mess or stress.

The secret? Assemble it the night before. All the ingredients are mixed and layered into a dish, ready to be baked in the morning. No more flipping slices on a griddle or worrying about keeping them warm. Just pop it in the oven and relax with your coffee while the house fills with the irresistible smell of cinnamon. Trust me, it’s a game-changer for lazy mornings or brunches with friends.
